The following paintings were inspired by having the unique opportunity and experience to observe the famous choreographer Maurice Béjart orchestrate his world renowned dance ensemble in Lausanne, Switzerland.

It was unique experience that I still remember and cherish. Mr. Béjart was a master in his field. He had the keen ability to be aware of the movements and positions of each and every dancer in the composition simultaneously and then convey to each one personaly the adjustments to be made. Observing, I made sketches of the dancers bodies in movement. Later  these larger paintings modeled in imposto with various intensities of white were completed  from memory in the studio.
